At the Statehouse for Governor's Proclamation

COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS DAY On March 3rd Drs John Corless, March Seabrook & Raj Vasadeva joined with CCPC and ACS CAN advocates for the reading of the March Colorectal Cancer Awareness month proclamation by Lt Gov Pamela Evette. Dr Bryan Green served as Doctor of the Day.

ACG Advocacy Drs Brenda Hoffman and March Seabrook participated in the ACG Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill on April 8 & 9th. They advocated for reform in pre authorization, Step therapy and Medicare reimbursement.

Doctor of the Day
John Corless

Each year SCGA member gastroenterologists serve as Doctor of the Day giving them a unique opportunity to educate the legislators about digestive health including colon cancer. Thank you to 2022 volunteers: Drs John Corless, Bryan Green and March Seabrook. Please consider serving as Doctor of the Day during the next SC legislative session (generally Jan – May).

The South Carolina Gastroenterology Association congratulates Dr. Raj Vasudeva, MD, physician at the Consultants in Gastroenterology in West Columbia, for receiving the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest honor. Congratulations and thank you for the incredible work you have done for our state to be bestowed with such an honor.

​CELEBRATING COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH PROCLAMATION DAY AT THE STATE HOUSE - 2020

Governor Henry McMaster officially designated March 5, 2020 as Colorectal Cancer Day in South Carolina, issuing a proclamation at his office in the State House which also included Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette. Dr. John Corless, Dr. Kent Cunningham, Dr. Bryan Green, Dr. March Seabrook and Dr. Raj Vasudeva were present in the Rotunda to answer questions about colorectal cancer and screening. Dr. Seabrook and Dr. Vasudeva were also recognized as SCMA Doctors of the Day.
